I purchased my kit on 6th May 2002 and collected
it from the Stoneleigh show saving me the trip to Nottingham.
Spec as follows, 2B Stainless kit c/w wishbones. I handed a huge
bundle of cash to Gina as requested but unfortunately she had
it stolen from her bag during the show, luckily for me they honored
the deal anyway.
We
took a 4m sprinter to the show with us which doubled as a bed
for the night. luckily we were able to drive right up to the stand
and load the Kit when the show had ended, we had to box everything
up as we did it, we had those plastic crates that fold up when
not in use, they also fall apart when loaded with bits of a kit
car too!!
My donor was a 2lt injection Sierra which was stripped ready for
the kits arrival, unfortunately the engine had seen better days
and although the car drove OK i decided to skip it and look for
another one. so i now have a reconditioned 1.6lt pinto.
Extra's i have bought so far, SVA manual from Gillingham, Plastic
fuel tank from "plastic tank man" Chris Gibbons and
all new brakes, disks and hubs etc. from Jayar components Sittingbourne,
but the are still in boxes with the other kit bits.
Needless to say i got off to a good start but not really touched
it for 18 months or so, But this is the year!!!!!!!!

This
is the reason that Alan got into kit cars in the first place.
Personally, I don't see the attraction of Mick's belly, but then
maybe there's something I'm missing? - Mike.
